In our recent interview with IPVanish, the company’s Director of Communications told us that his company always wants to stay ahead of the competition and keeps on innovating. The company is now proving once again that they are serious about this strategy, as the company has recently done two major announcements. IPVanish has released a beta of its Mac client, and is giving all existing customers the opportunity to try it out for free. Another update to their VPN service is the addition of a new server in Hong Kong.
IPVanish Goes Mac
The introduction of its brand new Mac OSX client is a huge new thing for IPVanish, and it immediately comes with a bunch of neat features. Options such as the auto-connect customization allowing you to connect to the server you used most recently, and the possibility to switch IP addresses easily through the client will make it very easy for Apple-fans using Mac OSX 10.7 and higher to make use of a VPN without having to go through tons of settings. The client installs easily, updates itself and sits quietly in your Mac’s menu bar doing its thing while giving you control over everything if desired.
The beta version of the Mac client and a visual setup guide can be found on IPVanish’s software page.
New Server in Hong Kong
IPVanish added a new Hong Kong VPN server to its network, and now boasts over 54 servers in 20 countries around the world. The new server supports L2TP, PPTP and OpenVPN, and is of course available for all members of IPVanish.
