Main Features of proXPN
proXPN mainly provides its users with OpenVPN and PPTP protocol connections. You can choose to use one protocol at a time or connect simultaneously to both. This means that proXPN is very capable of securing a variety of internet connections such as DSL, cable, and 3G.
Its servers are located in a number of countries including the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Singapore, and the United States of America, each having its own unique IP address. In the United States, the company's servers are found in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and Miami.
OS, Device Support
proXPN is compatible with a number of operating systems including Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X, and iOS. Supported devices include iPad, iPhone, Windows mobile, iPod Touch, as well as DD-WRT routers. As compared to other VPN services, proXPN is not compatible with the Linux platform. However, it virtually supports all major web browsers such as Opera, Google Chrome, internet Explorer, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox.
Privacy Protection
proXPN stands out as one of the most anonymous VPN service providers available today. The user's IP address is hidden securely behind the company's global server network, concealing your true location and giving the impression that you are surfing in the same location or region the VPN server you’re connected to. The service does not log or keep a record of user activity such as e-mails received or sent, sites visited, surfing time, or DNS lookups. Instead, it simply tracks minor things such as duration of the connection (timestamps).
They apply the use of 2048-bit encryption technique accompanied with a 512-bit encrypted VPN tunnel, which is twice or thrice the encryption level of many VPN service providers. Encryption plays a major role in preventing data carriers such as the user's ISP from analyzing or monitoring his internet traffic.
With all its special features, proXPN has the extraordinary ability to facilitate easy streaming as well as fast and effective download of music and video files. proXPN's basic accounts are restricted to a bandwidth of 300 kbps per month whereas premium accounts come with unrestricted bandwidth.
Even though proXPN allows the usage of P2P on all its servers, people who use torrent or bittorrent websites usually experience numerous disruptions. The service is also known to have compatibility problems with high-traffic websites such as YouTube and Hulu due to slow internet connection brought about by the 2048-bit encryption. Despite all these minor challenges, premium accounts still deliver fast and reliable speeds. It is important to note that unlike other VPN services, proXPN does not have switches.
Pricing
proXPN is offered in both free (basic) and paid (premium) plans. The Premium plan has a lot of benefits as compared to the basic plan. The basic plan has very limited bandwidth, does not support PPTP protocol, and can only be accessed in the United States. The premium plan has a lot of features and has three special price categories: 1-month package offered at $9.90, 6-month package offered at $8.30, and a 12-month package offered at $6.25.
All these packages are offered with a 7-day 100% money back guarantee, meaning that the buyer or user has the right to ask for a refund in case of dissatisfaction. Payments can be made through PayPal, American Express, MasterCard, Google Checkout, and Discover.

Bough the premium plan after using the free for a few weeks and so far so good. proxpn is very stable and fast and works just fine on my iPhone and my Mac. Now that they added new servers the speed is virtual the same with or without it.

I have been using proXPN for a couple years now. Love the service. The support team is pretty quick in getting answers. Living outside the US I depend on proXPN for access to Netflix and Hulu as well as torrenting. I have used other services, and even tried one in the top 3, however after the trial was over, I ditched them and went back to proXPN. My only real complaint is the number of servers they have but I have been told they will be expanding in Asia which is where I live.

Doesn’t Protect Your Privacy. I have a friend that used it and downloaded a song. He got a notice from proXPN saying at the cable companies request they were sharing his download info with the cable company.

ProXPN is located in the Netherlands and has many servers there, that is what makes this the perfect company to let your data run through. Interesting to know: Kim Dotcom oftentimes makes use of Dutch companies for his server infrastructure as well. Says enough doesn’t it? 🙂
